Books, books, books!

Shame on me for not reading to Carson from day one. About a month ago I started reading to him. He loves it! I've never seen a kid so excited and interested in books. I've seen some that are excited at first, but then lose interest. Carson waves his arms about, makes noises, and touches the pictures on the pages. I usually read the same book four or fives times to him in one sitting. He is so funny. I'm sure other kids are like this too. I'm just glad that he enjoys it so much and I certainly hope that I can somehow maintain his love for books as he gets older. This is a picture of Carson and his mabue (grandma Juarez) reading a book together.

Overdue Post

The other day Ben and I were cleaning house together. I went upstairs and was scared half to death to see a little head sticking out of a pile of clothes in the laundry basket. He looked so cute, I had to take a picture.

A Day at the Park

We had so much fun today. I borrowed from Lauren Andrews idea of getting together at Floyd Lamb State Park. The weather was so nice. It was Carson's first picnic. I had such a great time visiting with everyone. A big thanks to the Stuarts, Andrews, Summers, Gearin, Tracey, and Miller families for joining in on the fun!

Tagged!

What is his name? Benjamin Aaron Juarez

How long have you been married? Almost 2 years

Who long did you date? 2 years! That's 10 in Mormon years. :)

How old is he? The big 30! He says he doesn't feel old, but I think he's in denial.

Who eats more sweets? Me, me, me. Ben hardly eats sweets, which makes me feel really guilty when I'm the only eating a big bowl of ice cream.

Who said I love you first? It was me, after approx 9 months of dating.

Who is taller? Ben, by one inch.

Who can sing better? I think Ben can sing better, the few times I've heard him. He doesn't like singing.

Who is smarter? I think we're a good match, but overall, Ben wins. His dad is a doctor and brothers: computer programmer, engineer, and pre-med student. Sometimes the conversations at their dinner table are about things I can't pronounce.

Who does the laundry? Me. But when it comes to ironing, Ben definitely wins.

Who pays the bills? Both

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Ben

Who mows the lawn? Sadly, no lawn.

Who cooks dinner? Always me. Once, Ben cooked a hot dog for me.

Who drives? Both. But I prefer Ben. He's a fleet safety trainer, and former valet parker.

Who is more stubborn? Him. Ben likes to prove his point.

Who kissed who first? He kissed me

Who asked who out first? He asked me

Who proposed? Him. He didn't propose, he told me that was going to marry me. It took him 8 months after that to formally ask me (which drove me crazy!!!).

Who has more siblings? I have 5. He has 3.

Who wears the pants? That would be me. Ben is the most easy going guy. That's one of the things I love about him.

Tagging... Jessica, Mary (if you haven't done this already), Tricia, my college friend Katie, and Kim.

My boys have left me

Sorry I haven't done any updates for over a month. Between work, taking care of Carson, trying to train for a half marathon (which for the most part is not happening) and trying to be somewhat of a decent wife, taking the time to update my blog just hasn't happened. Tonight is my first night without my little boy. My sister, Kim, who usually watches Carson on Thursdays, went up to Utah. I thought grandma and grandpa Stephenson and aunt Rachel and Audrey would love to have a day with Carson, so I agreed to let her take him with her. I can't believe how hard it is to not have him for just one day! What's worse, Ben left on a business trip to CA this morning and won't be back 'til Friday night. I miss my boys! Ben, is pretty much the greatest guy I have ever met. For those of you who don't know my husband, one of these days I'll have to fill you in. And then there is Carson, who is the perfect baby. He is always (mostly) so happy and sweet. Lately, he is trying to talk. He talks to us, to his blanket, his toys... it's really funny. PLUS, we discovered he is VERY ticklish. :) He's growing sooo fast!!!
